Horsebox mats
Transporting animals can be dangerous - a horse or similar animal weighs a substantial amount and the trauma of traveling in a confined space increases the chances of the animal moving around, making the trailer unstable. Ensuring a solid footing for the animal is therefor important.
Our horsebox mats take care of some of the obstacles mentioned by providing a soft, yet solid footing for animals in transit.
The horsebox mat is available for the trailer floor as well as for the inside of the trailer door, ensuring a proper, non-slip entrance and exit.
In fact, our horsebox mats have proven themselves not just with domestic animals, but with some rather cute little beasts as well! The photograph below shows a white rhino calf prompted to leave its rather comfortable trailer when released into a rehabilitation center north of Pretoria in August 2001. Premat supplied the horsebox mat used during this transport.
